One of five teenagers hospitalized with symptoms of bacterial meningitis has died, and another was in critical condition.

Rachael Perry, 18, of Bennington died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she had been hospitalized since Christmas, Greenblatt said.
Three other teens from southern New Hampshire were in fair condition. A 13-year-old boy from the far northern tip of the state also appeared to have contracted the disease.
