Parole Hearing for ‘Suge’ Knight Postponed

The California Board of Prison Terms postponed a parole revocation hearing Tuesday for rap entrepreneur Marion “Suge” Knight that could send him back to prison for a year.
A spokesman for the board said Knight’s hearing would be delayed for two weeks to give the board time to reexamine Knight’s request for legal representation at the proceeding.
The move reverses a board decision Monday to deny Knight access to a lawyer. The spokesman said attorneys are typically barred from parole revocation hearings.
Knight has been jailed since Dec. 23 for allegedly violating his parole by associating with gang members.
