Cox Posts Profit on Digital Growth

Cox Communications Inc., the No. 4 U.S. cable operator, had a $179.6-million profit in the fourth quarter as demand for high-speed Internet and telephone service drove an 18% increase in revenue.
Net income was 28 cents a share, compared with a loss of $105.2 million, or 18 cents, a year earlier, the company said. Revenue rose to $1.34 billion from $1.13 billion.
Shares of Cox rose 20 cents to $27.40 on the NYSE.
