3 Men Hold Up Camarillo Bank

Three masked men robbed a Camarillo Bank of America branch Wednesday afternoon, jumping the teller counter and swiping cash from an open vault, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies would not say how much money was taken or whether the men were armed in what was described as a takeover-style robbery. No one was injured.
The robbers burst into the bank -- tucked in a quiet strip mall next to the Leisure Village retirement community -- about 3 p.m. and ordered about a dozen customers and employees on the floor, said Sgt. Guy Stewart of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Two of them then jumped the counter and loaded up cash from the vault, and all three fled through the bank’s front door in a white minivan, which they dumped, engine running, behind a nearby assisted-living complex, said Sgt. Ken Bailey.
