Time Shares at Beach Homes to Be Auctioned

The county will hold an online auction today to help sell 153 time shares at Oxnard area beach properties in an effort to recover more than $300,000 in back taxes owed by their owners.
Beginning this afternoon, anyone with access to the Internet can bid on vacation weeks at the 25-unit Channel Islands Shores resort or at neighboring Mandalay Shores resort’s seven townhomes, within a block of the ocean.
Minimum bids range from $1,190 to $3,390, depending on the unpaid tax amount.
