A federal appeals court ruled that New York City did not violate the 1st Amendment when it banned an antiwar march near the U.N. on Saturday.
The U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals said it could find no errors in a judge’s ruling this week that found the city acted legally when it barred the march.
The ruling resulted from a lawsuit brought by United for Peace and Justice, an antiwar coalition sponsoring rallies throughout the world.
