Not part of a McDonald’s world

Regarding “In a Shrinking World, a Greater Responsibility” (Her World, Jan. 19): Susan Spano mentions McDonald’s as an example of American globalization.
The expansion of McDonald’s has nothing to do with America. I loathe McDonald’s. As a vegetarian, I don’t want to be associated with such a corporation. Spano and other writers need to stop implying that it represents Americans.
