Sirhan Loses Appeal in Supreme Court
Sirhan Sirhan lost a Supreme Court appeal, part of his latest effort to get a new trial in the 1968 assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy.
The justices refused without comment to consider whether Sirhan’s case could be impartially reviewed by some California courts. Sirhan claims his lawyer at the trial in California was working with the government to win his conviction.
Sirhan is serving a life sentence for killing Kennedy just moments after the New York Democrat declared victory in the California presidential primary at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
