Mousetrap Snares Baggage Screeners

A section of the Tampa airport was evacuated after baggage screeners spotted a “very, very suspicious” object on an X-ray monitor. It turned out to be a mousetrap inside a coffee can.
The ticketing area was evacuated for about 45 minutes and several flights were delayed briefly. A bomb squad used a robot to remove the object.
Airport spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan said airport police and Transportation Security Administration officials were talking with the bag’s owner.
