Man, Woman Dead in Separate Attacks

A homeless woman was stabbed to death and a man was fatally shot in separate attacks early Tuesday on the city’s northeast side.
About 1:30 a.m., Frankie Barrajas, 21, of Los Angeles was shot to death in the 300 block of Leslie Way, police said. A 20-year-old man at the scene was wounded. No weapons were found.
About two hours later, the body of a homeless woman who lived in the Glassell Park area was found in the 4000 block of Eagle Rock Boulevard. Police said she had crossed the street to a gas station after being stabbed repeatedly. A surveillance camera shows her but not her killer. She had not been identified.
