Board OKs Hearing on Plan to Expand Landfill

State Sen. Richard Alarcon (D-Sylmar) on Tuesday persuaded the state Integrated Waste Management Board to hold a hearing within 60 days in Sun Valley on a proposed expansion of Bradley Landfill.
The board postponed a decision on extending Bradley’s height by 10 feet after Alarcon said few in the community were aware of the proposal.
