2 Men Leaving Wake Die in Drive-By Shooting

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the deaths of two Los Angeles men shot Friday night as they left a wake for a victim of gang violence, officials said.
Joaquin Suarez, 23, and Pedro Vergara Jr., 34, were leaving the memorial for a friend killed Jan. 11 when they were hit by shots fired from a Jeep Cherokee at 92nd and Beach streets, said Deputy Richard Westin.
