Police Chase, Capture Man Riding on Mower

One of the strangest chases in local police history ended with the arrest of a man on a riding mower. Speeds as high as 5 mph were reached before officers corralled Darren Gallagher, police said.
They said Gallagher was apparently upset at being arrested earlier Wednesday for driving with a suspended license.
He was released, went home and hauled out the riding mower.
Police set out after Gallagher after seeing him going through town and allegedly making obscene gestures at officers.
