Good Guys Taps Director as President

Good Guys Inc. named one of its directors, Thomas Herman, to be president and chief operating officer of the struggling consumer-electronics retailer, effective immediately.
Herman succeeds Kenneth Weller, who remains chairman and chief executive of the 71-store chain. As chief operating officer, Herman succeeds Peter Hanelt, who remains a consultant to the Alameda, Calif.-based company. Herman also is founder and managing partner of Oak Harbor Partners, a financial-services firm in Oakland.
