Madonna strikes a pose for Gap

Looks like the Material Girl is falling into the Gap. Madonna will appear in the mega-retailer’s fall ads. The newspaper, magazine and TV campaign is scheduled to run for eight weeks, beginning at the end of this month. Madonna and Gap Inc. are also in discussions about promoting Madonna’s new children’s book, according to Gap spokeswoman Rebecca Weill.
This book will be markedly different from her earlier literary effort, the controversial 1992 photo tome, “Sex.” This time, the superstar, who is now the mother of two, has penned “The English Roses,” which she has described as a morality tale based on lessons she’s learned from Kabbalah, the mystical Hebrew religion.
According to her publisher, Callaway Editions Inc., “The English Roses” is to be the first in a series of five books. It will be released Sept. 15 in 42 languages and 100 countries.
