A Recall Isn’t Cancer
As a breast cancer survivor, I am offended that Sharon Davis should compare this “bump” in her husband’s political career to our cancer journey in facing the fears of our own mortality (July 17). How dare she! The accountability questions Gov. Gray Davis faces were created by his poor job performance. My diagnosis with cancer had nothing to do with my own actions. Whatever the outcome of this recall, Davis’ husband will still be alive -- an outcome not promised to many cancer patients.
