Woman, 82, Dies When Car Plunges Off Road

An 82-year-old woman died Thursday when she lost control of her car and drove over an embankment, police said.
Elynor Kasper, of Laguna Hills, was driving northbound on Chickadee Lane around 2 p.m. when she lost control, hit a curb and plunged 60 to 80 feet over an embankment on Calle Corta. Her car landed upside-down, police said. No one else was injured.
Authorities continue to investigate the wreck.
