Group Claims It Attacked U.S. Troops

The Arab satellite TV channel Al Jazeera said it received a statement and videotape from an Iraqi resistance group claiming responsibility for attacks on U.S. forces. It was believed to be the first such claim.
The statement by the previously unheard-of Moujahedeen of the Victorious Sect warned Iraqis away from “places where the American forces are” and vowed more “painful attacks.”
Al Jazeera aired a video it said it received from the group, showing a Baghdad neighborhood and what the announcer said was an attack by the group on U.S. military vehicles.
