From Times Staff Reports
A natural gas station that will help drivers save money and reduce air emissions opened to the public Thursday.
The station, at 2999 E. La Jolla Road, has two dispensers, each with two hoses. The dispensers accept payment from six credit cards.
Officials hope the station will encourage purchases of compressed natural gas vehicles. Fuel costs are lower and drivers may use carpool lanes with one person in the car.
