Truck Driver Hits, Kills Pursuing Officer

A police officer was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a truck he was chasing, police said Thursday.
The officer was pursuing the truck when the driver made a U-turn and headed directly at the officer, hitting him and knocking him from the motorcycle at an intersection in the Encanto neighborhood, officials said.
The officer was pronounced dead at a hospital. Kevin Williams, 25, was arrested shortly after the incident. The officer’s name was not released.
Investigators said they believe the driver intentionally aimed the truck at the officer.
