Affordable Housing Policy Is Adopted

The city adopted a new affordable housing policy that requires developers to build less-expensive homes in exchange for packing more units into subdivisions.
The City Council unanimously approved the temporary rules Tuesday in hopes of encouraging construction of lower-cost homes. A permanent ordinance may be adopted as early as the end of the year, Community Development Director Warren Frace said.
