Federal Gun Records

In reading “New Law Hurts Chicago Case in Gun Industry Suit” (Feb. 27) I learned that a new law restricts the release of federal records on gun sales and ownership.
It’s hard to believe, in this era of “war on terrorism” when such records could be of invaluable aid. I must credit the National Rifle Assn. and its followers with having far more clout than a plain citizen could imagine. Also, I must award them and their chosen politicians my special citation for selfish fanaticism in the face of danger to our country.
