Senators Revise Some Contracts

Several Ottawa Senator players have agreed to restructure their contracts, freeing money for the team which declared bankruptcy earlier this season.
General Manager John Muckler confirmed the move on Tuesday but declined to name the players or dollar amounts. Muckler said that the money was used to facilitate last week’s trade that brought Vaclav Varada and a draft pick from Buffalo in exchange for prospect Jakub Klepis. Varada’s contract will pay him $1.3 million this season and $1.5 million next year.
