L.A. Unified Hires New CFO From Chicago

The next chief financial officer at the Los Angeles Unified School District will be the man who has overseen finances of Chicago’s public schools for eight years, officials announced Thursday.
Kenneth Gotsch will replace Joe Zeronian, who will leave the Los Angeles district in September for personal reasons. Chicago is the third-largest school system with a $3.7-billion budget, compared with L.A.’s $6 billion.
