Stanford University’s elite Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital has announced that it would team up with Santa Clara Valley Medical Center to establish a children’s hospital in San Jose.
The new hospital, which would be operated by Packard at Valley Medical Center’s campus, could include 75 to 100 beds and cost up to $100 million, Packard Chief Executive Chris Dawes said.
Packard officials have estimated that the groundbreaking for the facility could take place as early as 2006.
