Driver Killed as Car Smashes Into a Pole

An Orange resident died early Sunday after losing control of his car and slamming into a pole, authorities said.
John Rehok, 40, was alone in his vehicle when it crashed into the pole about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Highland Street and Collins Avenue, said Lt. Bob Green of the Orange Police Department.
Rehok was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he died about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, said Cullen Ellinburg, a deputy county coroner.
