A 15-year-old Moorpark boy died Friday night when the sport utility vehicle he was riding in crashed on a curvy mountain road, authorities said Saturday.
Jose Eduardo Ramirez died about 6:30 p.m. after being partially ejected from the vehicle, which was carrying six people, authorities said.
The driver, who was not identified, was speeding on Grimes Canyon Road near Moorpark when he lost control, crossed the center line and collided with another vehicle, authorities said.
Ramirez had not been wearing a seat belt, authorities said. The extent of the survivors’ injuries was not released.
Also on Saturday, authorities said Maria Rosalia Mendoza was the 21-year-old Fillmore woman who was killed Friday in a separate crash in Camarillo.
