Promoting fights

KUDOS for the insightful article trumpeting the latest wrinkle in the evolving entertainment trend of watching the unfortunate and underprivileged get their butts kicked for the undemanding pleasure of an increasing legion of callous morons (“Girl Fight Club,” by Hilary E. MacGregor, Sept. 30).
One hopes that The Times will continue to encourage and promote the product lines created by the dirtbag, low-life producers of the exploitation “Extreme Girl-Fights,” the dysfunctional and dangerous “Backyard Wrestling” and the granddaddy of them, that uplifting celebration of the downtrodden and miserable, “Bumfights.” It is most reassuring that, in the spirit of upholding free speech, you are getting the word out lest these cultural breakthroughs go unheralded.
