Hawkish Looking to Extend Winning Streak to Five

Already the winner of two futurities, Hawkish will be favored to add another to his resume in tonight’s $336,500 PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity at 350 yards.
Owned by Enrique Gonzalez’s E G High Desert Farms and trained by Concepcion Balderrama, Hawkish, a 2-year-old son of Dash Thru Traffic, has won the Kindergarten and Ed Burke Memorial Futurities. He broke his maiden in his third start at 7-1 in the Kindergarten, then won the Ed Burke by 1 3/4 lengths as the 3-5 favorite on July 26.
A winner of four in a row, Hawkish will be ridden by regular jockey Alex Bautista.

Shots in the dark: Cheyennes Dasher makes her Los Alamitos debut in the fifth. Strawberry Dash switches to jockey Ramon Sanchez in the eighth.
