Foul-Air Policy

Re “EPA Rulings Choke States,” editorial, Sept. 3: President Bush’s Environmental Protection Agency and its “Through the Looking Glass” environmental policies truly aim to return California to a sooty Wonderland of its own. In the near future, when we and our children are forced to stay inside during another one in a series of smog alerts, we will all wonder, “Whose policy was ‘bad air is better for all’ and ‘fewer trees are a good thing’?” And then we’ll wonder who could have allowed it to happen. Wonderland, indeed.
