Re “Winning the Peace, Quietly,” Opinion, Sept. 7: Imagine my surprise to read such a reasoned personal account by Max Boot of our military’s interactions with the Iraqi people. He puts to rest the comparison to Vietnam that the liberals constantly bring up.
Boot also paints a different picture of how the Iraqis view our American troops. Thank you for printing it.
