Police Aim to Question Rapper About Gunfire
- Share via
Police were trying to locate rap star 50 Cent and his entourage to question them about gunfire that erupted as they arrived at a hotel in Jersey City, N.J.
No one was injured in the shooting, which was captured a surveillance videotape at the Doubletree hotel shortly after midnight Tuesday. Bullets shattered the windows of a nearby tire store, and police recovered 10 shell casings outside the hotel.
Authorities have not determined whether 50 Cent and his G Unit entourage were attacked or they fired first. The rapper left the scene before police could question him.
50 Cent, whose “Get Rich or Die Trying” is the year’s best-selling CD, could not be reached for comment.
