The worthy ‘Stealing Innocence’ was robbed

Patrick GOLDSTEIN’s account of the decision to omit one outstanding 15-minute film from the Giffoni Hollywood Film Festival because there was “no time” to include another entry (one excuse given) was truly heartbreaking [“Acting Like Adults,” April 19].
“Stealing Innocence” belongs in the festival because there is an overwhelming need for a next generation less polarized, more compassionate, willing to hear another’s viewpoint. Clearly board members with a narrow vision were able to block the showing much as totalitarian minds do and have done since history began. A true citizen of democracy would welcome the chance for children to view this film. I pray they will reconsider.
