Woman Jailed on Drug Charge Dies in Custody

A woman arrested on drug and alcohol charges died at the Sonoma County Jail less than two days after being booked, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
A coroner was sent to investigate the cause of death for Donna Gean Welch, 48, late Sunday, Assistant Sheriff Michael M. Costa said Monday.
