MUNITZ will never be confused with Medici. For all its wealth and the beautiful facility in which it houses its collections, it is a shame that the Getty has allowed someone with the audacity and chutzpah of the current Getty Trust president to stay at the helm, sapping its resources, making precious little impact with its art acquisitions. At least the Medicis constantly contributed to the health, creative flow and collective inventory of the world’s great art for centuries -- then and now.

CONGRATULATIONS on the courage Christopher Knight demonstrated in writing such an outstanding, informative expose regarding Getty cronyism and mismanagement of Getty Trust funds. This is the first time that his criticism almost burst with the heartfelt emotion of anger.
