Fullerton Takes Opener

Frank Robinson scored a career-high 20 points to help Cal State Fullerton defeat Hope International, 97-52, Sunday at Fullerton.
Bobby Brown had 13 points and five steals for the Titans, who won their first season opener since 1996.
Aron Cline scored 12 points, and Enrique Villareal had 11 points for the Royals (0-3), an NAIA team that was 4-24 last season.
Fullerton, which led by as many as 54 points, enjoyed its largest margin of victory since defeating Brown by 46 points in 1987.
Portland 92, UC Riverside 74 -- Pooh Jeter had 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists to help the Pilots win their home opener. Rickey Porter had a game-high 21 points for the Highlanders.
