PATRICK GOLDSTEIN’S thoughtful “Films Caught in Political Cross-Fire” [Jan. 31] quotes Jason Apuzzo, speaking of “Brokeback Mountain,” “Munich,” “Good Night, and Good Luck,” “Syriana,” “Crash” and “The Constant Gardener”: “Let’s face it, nobody’s going to see these films.”
The lowest-grossing movie among those is “Good Night, and Good Luck” at $25 million. (Most of the rest have grossed around $50 million.) That translates to well over 3 million tickets sold, which roughly equals the prime-time audience for Fox News. Would conservative Apuzzo say that “nobody” watches Fox News?
