Private schools

Re “Tuition Hits $25,000 at Elite Schools,” Feb. 17

Perhaps we’re in a minority, but my kids’ father and I didn’t choose private school for them because of any Ivy League ambitions. What we were after (and have gotten) is a solid secondary education that would see our kids through good times and bad, whatever their future choices might be. This is no more than every child should be entitled to and is what youngsters in other industrial countries receive as a matter of right.
