Teacher suspected of sex with teenager arrested

A teacher from Rainbow Springs Elementary School on Wednesday was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old youth he met on a chat website, Moreno Valley police said.
Terry Delanye Evans, 43, of Moreno Valley was held on suspicion of sexual battery and sodomy of a person under 18 years old. Evans was arrested after officers noticed two people in the backseat of a Mitsubishi Montero near Calle Luna and Avenida Anillo.
The juvenile in the car told officers that he had just engaged in a sex act with Evans, and had one previous sexual encounter with the teacher, police said.
Evans is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
