Singing her praises

Re “Beverly Sills: 1929-2007,” obituary, July 3
I was stunned by the news of the passing of a true diva, prima donna and patron of the arts, opera’s Beverly Sills. She lost the fight of her life battling the scourge of cancer.
Sills (affectionately known as “Bubbles”) delighted opera fans around the world for years with her magnificent soprano voice.
Musically speaking, “Through it all, she stood tall.” Fortunately, we can still enjoy her performances through the miracle of CDs and DVDs. I miss her already.
