Unsustainable population

Re “Planners hope to forestall congestion on I-15,” March 12
Where is it written in stone that northern San Diego County and southwestern Riverside County must “almost double to 1.5 million people by 2030”? We are already using more of the Colorado’s water than we are allotted. There should be a building moratorium throughout Southern California. Yet local officials talk blithely of creating more jobs in Riverside County to reduce the percentage of commuters. Of course, there is no guarantee that these new jobs will go to current Riverside County residents. The newly created jobs will most likely attract new immigrants, increasing the county’s already unsustainable population. It’s time to say “enough already.”
