Pistons roll past Suns in Phoenix

Ronald Murray scored a season-high 25 points and the Detroit Pistons completed their first 5-0 road sweep through the West in 15 years with a 105-83 victory over Phoenix that ended the Suns’ six-game winning streak.

Murray, playing most of the night in place of injured Chauncey Billups, made 12 of 16 shots and had a season-best six steals. Billups left the game because of a strained left groin midway through the second quarter.

Rasheed Wallace scored 20 points, including four of six three-point shots, and Chris Webber had 17 for Detroit.

Amare Stoudemire had 24 points and 15 rebounds for the Suns, and Steve Nash had 20 points on eight-for-nine shooting.

But the Suns were listless and careless two nights after their 129-127 double-overtime victory in Dallas, matching their season-worst with 22 turnovers -- seven by Stoudemire -- and making two of 15 three-pointers.

It was by far the most one-sided home loss for Phoenix and the second-worst for the Suns overall this season.

Miami 103, Sacramento 97 -- Shaquille O’Neal scored 23 points and the Heat extended the NBA’s longest winning streak to nine games, at Miami. The Heat has won 14 straight at home and pulled into a virtual tie with Washington for the Southeast Division lead.

Golden State 106, Minnesota 86 -- Jason Richardson had 14 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, and the Warriors maintained their hold on the final playoff spot in the Western Conference at Oakland.

Dallas 106, Boston 101 -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 30 points, 19 in the final quarter, and Josh Howard matched a career high with 30 points to help the host Mavericks bounce back from consecutive defeats, rallying from a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Boston.

New Orleans 92, New York 90 -- David West made the go-ahead jump shot with 55 seconds left, and the Hornets ended a six-game losing streak with a victory in New York.

West finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Hornets, who erased an 18-point deficit. Chris Paul, playing with an injured left foot, had 20 points and eight assists.

Philadelphia 89, Utah 88 -- Kyle Korver made the winning basket with 5.1 seconds left and Andre Iguodala scored 23 points at home for the 76ers, who ended a two-game losing streak.

Korver got a shot at redemption after his offensive foul led to a Carlos Boozer basket that put the Jazz ahead.

Houston 114, Toronto 100 -- Rafer Alston scored 23 points, Yao Ming had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and the Rockets never trailed in Toronto. Tracy McGrady had 24 points and seven assists for the Rockets, who have won five of six.

The Raptors lost for the first time in five games.
