Income of $100,000 or more: 5.4%

College graduate head of household: 43.2%
Unemployed head of household: 4.8%
Less than three years at current residence: 70.5%
More than 10 years at current residence: 3.6%
Own home: 33.7%
$25,000 or more in savings: 11.9%
Median net worth: $1,025
Have an IRA: 15.4%
Have a 401(k): 39.1%
Own stock (not counting mutual funds): 12.3%
Have student loan: 19.7%
Use brokerage service: 6.3%
Average amount in bank accounts: $15,724
Average total debt (including mortgages): $62,786
Average nonmortgage debt: $22,836
Of households with credit cards, those with more than a $10,000 balance: 13%
Of household with credit cards, those with no outstanding balance: 15.5%
