400 truants and curfew violators cited in sweep

A countywide sweep by law enforcement Wednesday led to 400 citations for truancy and daytime-curfew violations, and 37 arrests for other violations, authorities said.
The operation, which included the 23 school districts in Riverside County, was undertaken by 214 law enforcement officials, plus authorities from the Riverside County district attorney’s office and probation officials.
Officials said 367 homes were visited during the morning sweep.
