Man dies in fight; wife’s boyfriend jailed

A man was arrested on suspicion of killing his girlfriend’s estranged husband in a fight.
Herman Jerome Polk, 34, had gone to see his wife, Kandy Green, in the 800 block of East La Veta Avenue late Wednesday, authorities said Thursday. When the two got into an argument, Joseph Markith Janisse, 47, who has been dating her, offered to call police, authorities said.
The two men began fighting, and Polk died at the scene. Investigators declined to disclose the cause of death or say whether a weapon was used.
Janisse was booked at Orange County Jail.
