19 are indicted in scheme to cheat 18 casinos

A federal grand jury has indicted 19 people in a scheme to cheat casinos across the country out of millions of dollars, officials said Thursday.
The scheme involved rigging games of blackjack and mini-baccarat by bribing dealers and engaging in sophisticated “card counting.” In one case, the defendants won more than $868,000. Some 18 casinos were targeted, according to the indictments.
