Brink, a senior, threw for 449 yards and broke the school record for career touchdown passes, leading the Cougars to a 33-17 victory over Stanford.
Brink, who completed 32 of 47 passes, has passed for 10,200 yards in his career. He became only the sixth quarterback in Pacific 10 Conference history to surpass 10,000 yards.
“It’s a special feeling to get a record and a win,” Brink said.
His 12-yard scoring pass to tight end Ben Woodard in the second quarter was the 71st of his career, breaking the school record of 70 set by Jason Gesser from 1999 to 2002.
Brink gave credit to all of the receivers he’s thrown to who helped him set the mark.
“I’m glad I’ve got them out there catching the ball,” he said
