McDonald’s gets CFO, store plan

McDonald’s Corp. named a new chief financial officer and announced plans to further scale back the number of company-owned stores.
Peter J. Bensen, 45, will become CFO of the world’s largest fast-food chain in January. Bensen, the company’s senior vice president and corporate controller, replaces Matthew Paull, who has announced his retirement.
McDonald’s also announced plans to refranchise 1,000 to 1,500 stores to local owners in the next three years.
