Applications available for seats on grand jury

The number of applicants for the Orange County Grand Jury fell this year, a court official said.
Only 32 people have applied compared with previous years when more than 170 applications were received, Carole Levitzky, a court spokeswoman, said Wednesday. Jurors review government agencies, schools and special districts.
Applications may be obtained by calling the grand jury hotline at (714) 834-6747 or requesting one at www.ocgrandjury.org. The deadline to submit an application is Jan. 11, 2008.
