In an effort to find out if the play he is writing “is at all funny,” Eric Idle will stage two performances next month with a cast that includes himself, Tracy Ullman, Billy Connolly, Tim Curry and Eddie Izzard.
The play, titled “What About Dick?” and described as “a lowbrow comedy about highbrow people,” centers on the production of a radio drama in 1948.
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday at www.goldstarevents.com. The performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 10 and 5 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood.
